So this is an interesting Collagen / Hyaluronic Acid supplement - and if you like things to be really sweet - then you are going to absolutely LOVE it. First off, there's no sugar - so that's great - they use Stevia to sweeten the product, which I think is great because stevia is all-natural with no bad side effects. The thing about stevia is that a LITTLE goes a long way, and resultingly products that use stevia can sometimes be sweeter than intended. What we have here is a brilliant Collagen supplement that has added Hyaluronic Acid which combine to create a very effective boost to your body's ability to repair joints, promote healthy hair/skin/nails, and a whole bunch of good things. The formulation is designed to blend into HOT beverages - so this is absolutely PERFECT to stir into your morning coffee, and the salted caramel flavor is really good, like super yummy - I really do like it. So the science team that formulated the supplement, those guys get 5-stars, it's a great supplement. The flavor team that developed the Salted-Caramel flavor, oh man it's delicious - definitely 5-Stars. But there was likely one guy on the team, the Stevia guy... he had ONE JOB. Make it just sweet enough to be a tasty treat, but don't over-do it. Well that guy totally failed. He dumped in the entire maximum amount of stevia possible, and it makes it nearly impossible to consume a full complete dose of this supplement because it's just too sweet.Imagine you go to a breakfast diner with a friend and you both order a cup of coffee. Your friend proceeds to grab 12 packets of sugar, and you watch in horror as they pour pack after pack of sugar into their one cup of coffee. They stir it in, and ask "want a sip, it's so good!". That's the level of sweetness we are talking about here.Bottom Line: I still really like the product, but I use 1/8 of the recommended dose in a very large cup of coffee - and it is still VERY sweet. As a result, I'm not getting the amount of Collagen or Hyaluronic acid that the supplement is designed is deliver. What I do get however, is a sweet little morning treat (again, no actual sugar so guilt-free!) that adds a really nice salted caramel flavour to a cup of coffee, with an added bonus of a TINY amount of collagen & Hyaluronic acid. Hey, even a small amount has got to be better than nothing. By microdosing the product (taking only 1/8 to 1/10 the recommended amount) it is going to last me 8 - 10 times longer, so I guess there's value for money here? Haha, trying to find the good here...But really the main point is this: had they cut the amount of Stevia (sweetener) by 1/10 of what there actually is, this product would be absolutely incredible. It dissolves in coffee so nicely (which many collagen / protein products do not, they tend to clump up), it has a really good flavor (except for being too sweet), and the actual intended ingredients (Collagen & Hyaluronic acid, etc) are really really good. Everyone on the design team for this product did an amazing job. Except the Stevia guy. He had ONE JOB... If it wasn't for the over-the-top sweetness, this product would easily get 5-stars from me.
